Unexpected!

I've been into photography for almost 10months now. Learned a lot and will learn more as I go on.. It's a a never ending tunnel.. By which at the end of it, you get to discover your own style and develop your own art..

Within that ten months, I've got everything I need to pursue my interest in Photography.. Well atleast the very basic equipments.. I have the following setup:

Pentax K100D Super
DA 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 - kit lens
FA 50mm F1.7
Sandisks 4GB + Kingston 2GB and 1GB SD Card
Velbon 750 Sherpa tripod
Tamrac Velocity bag
Metz 48 AF-1 flash
Some AA batteries

A very limited setup but it still gave me lots of good pictures I could be proud of.. I hope I could buy a constant aperture walk-around lens and a tele lens in the future.. I really envied Canon for having that 24-105mm L lens which cover most of my needs.. I could say 80-90% of my shooting range.. Hmm, should I shift to CANON then? ahahaha..

I think I have it all except for one thing which I forgot.. STORAGE! I only realized it...

Sunlife Payatas Outreach II

We had another outreach program at the same school at Payatas.. The first one was held last January. This time, we gave school supplies for the enrolled students of the school..

Loved the shots as you can see some light from the children's EYES.. My fellow photographer in ILOCOS said it's called Fill Light!

Well enjoy.. No PP done on the photos.. Straight from camera!

12th Hot Air Balloon Festival

Had planned on going into this event since it is scheduled on weekends.. It actually starts on Thursday and ends in Sunday..

The day came and was very excited since this will be an opportunity to take pictures of the balloons being inflated.. Actually some of the great photos of the balloons I've seen were taken during the time the balloon was being inflated..

Excited, eager and happy! That's what I felt when we parked infront of the venue.. Rushed into the field, take a few shots to set my gear into its proper settings and then waited for the balloons to be inflated.. And after a few minutes, the news came.. "We're very sorry but we can't fly any balloons because of the strong wind".. What the . --- Woke up early and rushed to get here for nothing.. :(

It was very disappointing since it was my first.. The balloons were on stand by just in case the wind ease up but it only got worse.. so that's it.. No balloons..

Still wanted to stay as I had plans for the whole day.. So ...

Sunrise in Isabela and Tagaytay

Been thinking of doing this sunrise shoot for that past few months.. Tried to join a couple of times unfortunately I wasn't able to.. Atlast, I've done it..

The framed pics of black and white were actually taken in Diadi, Isabela wherein the owner of Total gasoline station thought I was a photographer for a certain magazine, even media ( sabi nga GMA or ABS daw! :D).. ahaha.. Knowing that, they gave me 2 t-shirts for free.. ahahaha.. It was funny and made me feel like I'm really from the media.. :) I must admit, so far that's the best gasoline station I've been.. Quite an ambiance and the CR has a fountain.. COOLLLLLLL..

Anyway, the pictures of photographers and others are taken in Tagaytay last January 26.. Man, it was 5am and it was so cold.. Morning breeze.. ahah.. I can't even speak straight 'coz of the breeze of the air.. But it was indeed a great getaway from the crowded city Manila.. :D

So I hope you guys like the pics.. I'll be posting more..

Working in Sunlife

A few months ago, September last year, I was looking for the perfect
job for me. A place wherein I'll enjoy my time as an employee and as a
newbie in the corporate world. A month after I started applying, it
seems that there are few companies where I wanted to work for i.e.
Sunlife of Canada, Accenture, Soluziona and Smart.

I was actually praying that I'll be accepted in SMART and Sunlife
even though I had no idea about the nature of business of the company
(Sunlife). I was more interested in the compensation offered by the
company.. naalala ko tuloy ung isang intereview ko.. sabi "Its all
about the money" heheheh :D

And so GOD answered my prayers and started working in Sunlife. At
first, the ambiance was kinda lame. Maybe because I don't know anyone
and I'm just a newbie in the company. I was bored, the corporate world
seems awkward since we're required to wear long sleeves and preferably
with tie.

As days passed by the environment I was hoping in a company start...

2007 - New Year (Guess what it is)

Year 2007 has come and I'm starting to reminisce the memories of the past year. It seems that most of my plans were actually accomplished, finished my Bachelor's degree, found a perfect job, met new friends and many more. Finishing college and having a job at the same year shows how grateful GOD is, not only to me but to my friends as well. 2006 is indeed a blessed one for us and for that I sincerely thank and praise our dear LORD GOD.

Year 2006 is full of memories, some are bad but most are good! New year, new plans, new dreams, new friends.. Thinking of what 2007 will be makes me smile and laugh. I found out that one of my wish for 2007 was actually my wish 2 years ago. And that wish is.......... heheheh.. I think you know what I'm saying guys.. if you really know me.. :p Note: I started to pursue it now since I'm finished with my studies.. :)) ..hehehe

I hope all of us will have a blessed year!
Till next.. Enjoy guessing what I mean. GOOD LUCK

This is Jay Jay signing off..
